| Church Family, What a month February has been!! I learned a very valuable lesson this month, “do not spring a trip to Mexico on parents 2 weeks before you want to go!!!” Anyways, after some thought and good advice we have moved the trips to March and April. This will be an opportunity for our kids to focus on others and serve Christ’s kingdom in an awesome way. This will be a trip that will stay with your kids forever, opening their eyes to a different way of life and a different set of circumstances. Allowing them to be ever more grateful for what they have, and all the more willing to help by giving of what they do have. If you have students (or a grand-student!!) don’t let them miss out on this opportunity to grow in their faith by serving others. Thanks to John Hudson and the Men’s Ministry for allowing our High School students to come serve at the Valentines Banquet. It was great for our kids to see all the photos and hear the stories of all you “love-birds” and to see what true love really looks like. Also, thanks to the Missions department for allowing our Jr. High students to bag the food for the Tijuana trip. It was a great time for our kids to begin the process of looking past what we have and do, and getting our hands dirty in the service of our Lord and Savior.
