Events

Our Women's Ministry has chosen to join Set Free this year for a Springtime Women's Event. The proceeds will benefit the Women's Ministry at Set Free.

Set Free Women's Tea

The Theme is "Transformed from Caterpillar to Butterfly". Please bring a personal care gift for a Set Free woman. Your gift should cost between $15-20 and be in a gift bag. If you can not attend, you may still donate a gift bag to one of the women in the Set Free program. Suggested items include; books, chocolates, bath items, music CDs

Prayer Shawls

Through this ministry prayers are able to encompass people in a tactile way throughout surgery, recovery, and challenging times of life.Women's Ministry Prayer Shawls are an opportunity for knitters/crocheters to reach out in prayer and concern to others, some of whom they know well and others they will never meet. The recipients will be wrapped in the warmth and love of each shawl and will receive God's love in a touchable way.

Recently, a prayer shawl was passed from one of our members to a friend. That friend in turn passed it on to someone else. This women is now taking it with her each time she goes to her Chemo appt. She says she feels like she has someones arms around her while she is there. Remember to pray for the recipients as they are receiving the shawl because they are going through a difficult time in their life.

Baby Blankets

We are looking for those interested in working on baby blankets for the new ones in our church. These can be knit, crocheted or sewn. If you would like to participate, or if you know of someone who could benefit from this ministry, please contact Heidi Allingham.

Don't Be a Square...Make one!

Following is a link for patterns to knit or crochet squares which we will sew together and take to those in need. This is an ongoing project and afghans will be given to various groups in need throughout the year.
